This week I’ve been recording demos of songs that will be on my EP “Wandering Man” which will be released in late April. I’ve recorded piano and vocal tracks in the quiet of my bedroom, and will soon be arranging and rehearsing as well. I couldn’t be more excited about this EP, I feel it will showcase my best storytelling yet. Songs you’ll find on the record are Meet With You, Humboldt Park, A New Goodbye, City Lights, Wandering Man, and, Through the Gap.

The album is about wandering within myself and through relationships, desires, doubts, and even various countries around the world. The songs on the record have been written these past two years at school and chronicle different relationships, stories, and, travels. I’m lucky to say I will be bringing some of my best friends into the studio this spring to breathe life into the songs. I am also really excited about experimenting with some new instrumentation that will be a bit different than my arrangements on my first EP “Dreamtalking”. One of the instruments I’m really excited about is the sansula, which I picked up in a small music shop in Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi.

Aside from preparing for recording sessions, I am also putting together a senior show/ EP release show at the end of the semester on April 22nd, at 4pm here at SUNY Purchase. There’s a lot to be excited about, and I’m having a blast.
Can’t wait to share it with you all,
Love,
Loveday
